33 cL bottle of Double Impact
Double Impact is a very dark porter. The first ‘impact’ is torrefied and malty, almost sweet with the typical oatmeal velvety mouthfeel, balanced with a second ‘impact’, a clean bitterness to finish. ABV 6.5%.
Brewed and bottled in Siorac-de-Ribérac in the Dordogne, using traditional methods. All our beers are unfiltered and unpasteurised.
This beer won a Gold medal in the Concours International de Lyon.

Thanks to friends who live in Eynsham, UK. I was given the opportunity of tasting a Porter manufactured by this brewery. This Porter pours with good head and has a well defined two stage taste. First you get a slightly fizzy carbonation with sweet roasted malt flavour and light hoppy aromatisation then you are left with a silky light bitter vanilla like taste that expresses the alcohol of this Porter. This Porter can be enjoyed with both savoury food like ham sandwiches, cheese etc and sweet food like chocolate truffles or pate de fruit or Spanish membrillo and cheese. This is a well balanced Porter and at 6.5 % alcohol goes easy (i.e. you can drink a few without being overwhelmed). This is an excellent Porter and it is obvious that have been made with care and attention to detail. I highly recommend this Porter.
